Salem Art Fair 2024: A Weekend of Art, Music, and Community
This past weekend, the annual Salem Art Fair took over Bush’s Pasture Park, and it was a hit! The event featured a new, more open layout, making exploring the variety of art booths and interactive displays easier than ever. Artists from around Salem showcased their work, from stunning paintings to unique handmade crafts.
Live music and Celtic dance added to the vibrant atmosphere, with bands providing a great soundtrack for the event. Families, friends, and art lovers enjoyed the beautiful weather, creative energy, and chance to support Oregon talent.
The best-in-show booth was in line with my favorite booth. Fire Smith Copper from Cheshire, Oregon, was fantastic to see in person. It drew you in from across the field and shower with metallic copper light shining in the sun. This husband and wife team creates these spectacular works of art with all things FIRE. The copper canvas is treated with various techniques that create wonderful design patterns and effects. Check them out on their website here:www.firesmithcopper.com.
Missed it this year? Be sure to mark your calendar for next year’s fair—it’s an event you won’t want to miss! It should be the second weekend in September again.
